Parents think they know what the kids of today are going through. Kids of the 21st century are going through a lot more pressure, stress and aggression than back when your parents were kids. Things have changed. Smoking, alcohol, depression, everywhere you turn. The streets aren't safe. Unfortunately, parents aren't that smart.

i dont understand why most teens dont want to let their parents read their blog or know about their life. i love to let my mama&daddy know about everything that is going on with my life. dont come telling me im feeling this way cos my parents dont care about me. its not forever that they're less concerned. its only the recent years. few years back, my parent and i had very close r/s.

of cos, i had my rebelious age.
which was sec2. yeah, when i was looking like a total nerd and stuffs.
my parents were worried i would mix with bad company and stopped me from going out. i was feeling very unhappy. mainly because, none of my friends were bad bad. plus, i dint do anything wrong to deserve that.

but i managed to convince my parents to trust me.

tips:
1. talk to your parents about how you feel.
dont be afraid to let them know how unhappy you feel. they will be upset, but it wont be for long. all parents love their kids. they want to be the best parent too. as long as they know how you feel, they'll reflect and try to change.

2. if your parents are still stubborn and refused to give in, (like my mum),
write on your blog or diary or just a piece of paper.
let them see it accidently on purpose.
it will make them "listen".
cos when you speak to your parents, when they heard something they dont like, they can always cut you off and walk away.

3. force them to face the fact that you're grown up.
LOL.
wad i did was to run away from home. it made my parents worried. but the good thing is, it helped them realised how much they cant afford to lose me. HAH! and ofcos i took good care of myself. cant let my parents think that im doing that out of childishness and stufff. ok, running away from home aint exactly very mature anyway. i made them realised that i CAN live without them. but i choose to live WITH THEM. because i love them. and i want them to love me back. lol.

but ofcos, dont do it more thaan twice.
at the third try, your parents will ignore you. LOL.
